As part of our year 11 Practical assignments we have been provided with one Syma x25Pro drone. Currently, there is a lack of rigidity in parts due to them being made from the wrong material and some of the designs could also be improved. Those parts include but are not limited to the; blade protectors and landing gear. You should remake these parts to allow for an extra safety factor for the drone its self in the event of a crashing or similar and make the final proposed design more safe for the operator and surrounding people.
The products in this portfolio are proposed to fix the problem with existing products in the marketplace today which include the unsmooth landing of drones due to the design and wrong materials being used in the construction of many drone blade protectors and landing gear systems. The proposed materials and slight design changes compared to the original Syma x25Pro Blade Shield and Landing gear add to the safety factor of the drone drastically as the drone’s blades are no longer exposed during a collision. The drones revised landing gear features two sets of landing gear, each for different types of terrain and make smoother landings and lessen the reaction force exerted on the drone during an emergency landing or regular landing, although they don’t protect the drone from extensive heights, this improvement is made in the hopes to improve the drones safety when landing to protect the drone and operator(s). The proposed parts also closely follow the specification of the project in aims to cover all aspects of making the drone more suitable and safe for use.
